Global Policy Report and Civil Society Report

In 2013, the World Hepatitis Alliance joined with WHO in asking governments about their policies and programmes to tackle viral hepatitis. 126 governments responded, detailing their activities on national coordination, evidence-based policy, prevention, screening, care and treatment.

A year later, in the wake of a new viral hepatitis resolution which asks all governments to collaborate closely with civil society, the World Hepatitis Alliance ran a second survey, asking civil society organisations to respond to their government's reports. The results showed an alarming lack of alignment between government and civil society on how viral hepatitis is being tackled within countries.
